Hi,
Quick Question,I want to extract the shadow pass separately (shadow of the BA Volume Cloud falling on the objects) from Maya,I have assigned useBackground shader to the objects,in the render I can see BA volume and it's shadow falling on the objects which is perfect, but how to extract only the shadow to have some controls in the comp.,mental ray's shadow pass is not working somehow or may be I'm missing out something.
Hope to get some help from you guys.

Best
Karan

You can set the view density of the volume shader to 0, then you have shadows of the volume only.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but could be be more specific about this parameter,in which node I can find this value ?as Ba Volume setup have lots of other nodes connected to it,have been trying but couldn't get the result so far.

Thanks
Karan

It is in the volume shader itself, first tab.
You have the global density and beside it a density for view, shadow and scatter.
