Hi Holger

I am working on adding detail to emFluid renders, and have a slight problem with how to properly distort the texture coordinates. They do distort, but apparently in a diagonal fashion instead of in- and outwards from the "surface" of the volume. I have tried the built in Fractal_Scalar as well as Ba_Fractal4d and they work pretty much the same.

Am I missing something regarding texture projection (which I can't look up on a fluids cloud) or should the values be rescaled somehow?

These images show the problem:

Here you can scroll and switch between the two:

You proably input gray values.
Each color channels is a coordinate.
R->X, G->Y, B->Z.
If you use gray colors, you move the volume with the same value in all coordinates ->diagonal.
Try baFractal4D and enable the different times for each color channel.
