Hi,

it seems that RR server is able to reduce the amount of rendering licenses if it hits a 'not enough lics' error.
For how long is this reduced and how to reset it manually?
In the 'send decision list' L=0 but I have licenses available.

Cheers,
F.

It is reduced for one hour.
You can change it via rrControl, tab global. But only one license per button click. (or a server restart via rrServerWatch)

If the licenses are reduced (rrControl, tab global), do you know which job is responsible for it?
And if you have licenses, then I assume there is an error with this?
A message read false?

Because it will happen again if it is not changed.

Thanks. Forgot these licenses option were there.

>do you know which job is responsible for it?

Yes. We only have 2x interactive licenses of this app. So if a user opens it up just when a client
has finished a frame range, RR fails when it starts the next segment and reduces its lic count.
At least I think this is what happened in this case. I'll keep an eye on it.

Thanks,
F.

Ok, so it was right that the licenses have been reduced.
Because Artists have used them.

Yes I think so, but around the same time this happened I was raising the max amount of instances from 2 to 4.
It may be an issue with the lic server as well but I reset it's logs by restarting it so I can't really be 100% sure of what really happened there.
I'll do some testing and come back if I have something weird again.

Cheers,
F.
