Hi,

in rr6.02.17, I have a postscript that has a Win command line that sends arguments to an external dos batch file.
This batch file runs an ffmpeg encode and that runs fine until there.
But, if there are any other Win commands after this external command line, they are ignored and the script is aborted by RR and is executed again and again.
Is this expected ?

Cheers,
F.

Shell scripts replace themselves if they are not called/sourced.

On windows please use
call myScript.bat
on linux/OSX
source myScript.sh

Ah yes thanks. Works now.
But can RR client take some time to detect that call to myScript.bat is finished?
It seems the following Win commands in the Postscript can take like 30s to a minute to be executed afterwards.
Or maybe it's my imagination...?

Cheers,
F.

Hi

Afaik the client has a minimum execution time of 30 seconds.
There is a delay between the process startup and the time the client does its regular 3s-tests.
I will check if that can be reduced with the new core.

Ok thanks.
I've changed tactic for now. My Postcript just submits the encode job to the farm.
It's all fine but this new job loops again and again.

I'm submitting with the arguments :
"DoNotCheckForFrames=1~1" "SingleOuputFile=1~1"

But it's still looping...

Cheers,
F.

Ok, please upload a debug file of the job.
