Hi,

Not sure if this is a Royal Render issue or an Arnold issue (or perhaps even a Linux-related issue) but I figured I would check here.

We are rendering 10000 frames at 4K in the range 1-180000 with a step 18 using SItoA
The render goes ahead for around 500 frames before starting to have client errors returned, until eventually after enough errors all the clients are disabled, which happens after around 1000 frames.
The error returned is:
Code:
R 87| ' ERROR : [arnold] [driver_exr] Passes.SVS_BG.Main: OpenEXR exception: Cannot open image file "/PROJECTS/SLEEPING_VENUS/SHOTS/SVS/_sources/3d_renders/SVS_BG/SVS_RENDER_er_TI_passes/SVS_BG_060624.exr". No such file or directory.
R 88| ' WARNING : [arnold] failed to launch bucket workers:  received abort signal

The path obviously exists since other frames have been written there, and the machine that crashes picks up again and renders another frame until it's accumulated enough crashes to disable it from the job.
I could of course increase the number crashes before disable, but ideally I would like to understand the source of the problem.
Is it something to do with how EXRs are created/written?
Any clues?

Thanks in advance,

Jean-Louis

Hi

So far I do not have any indication why Arnold fails to write the image.
