Doing a quick eval on RR. Our needs are not that big but we need the occasional render farm horse power.

One thing though is that we dont really use the scntoc file. We actually disable it as it can be a pain with our version control.

So the question, is the scntic needed to render with RR?

.scntoc is required if you want to
1. Submit an XSI scene without opening the scene in XSI.
(just by starting the rrSubmitter and loading the .scntoc. The other way is to use the XSI plugin)

2. Render one scene cross-OS on windows and linux at the same time.
