Hi

If you use Softimage, the only help pages are if you click on the ? In the shader PPG.
For the fluid shader, there is not much help yet.
Just check the sample scenes.

I already checked the sample scenes, but I can't make the smoke ones work...

Why?
One important thing changed: I think the sample scenes still use the geo shader, but there is a new baSIcahceloader that should be used. But the render tree with the fluid shader stays the same.

Hi,

thank you for your reply.
I tried the shader setup with some of the sample scenes that come with the EmFluid4. The problem I have is it only renders black. Even the scenes that are provided in the 121210__baVolume_Softimage_samples.zip render black.
The shader I tried is the one in the Blender_Simple_Smoke scene, as well as those in the MayaOilSmoke scene. I tried it on some other scenes like the torus_flame and some emfluid4 scenes, because I couldn't ind the new sicache loader.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you in advance!

Have you checked the render log?
If the shader does not render, then it should log a message.

Hi,

I found the problem- well, it wasn't really a problem, it was me not understanding how the shader and the emfluid are working. Thank you for the cool shader.
