Submitter & Workstation Installer not working

on ONE machine out of 30 odd, if i restart the machine, everything works fine, but after a while, we can't submit, the shell flashes up, but the main window doesn't appear... there is a process for it in task manager, but no submitter


then if i try and re-install RR, the installer won't launch (same thing, shell flashes up, no main window)

restart fixes, but not ideal!

tried killing antivirus etc... no joy

win7 x64, Softimage 2013SP1, RR 6.01.70

Please open a command prompt. (windows start button, cmd.exe).
Then type in the batch file (you tried to start via explorer) with path.
What is the error message?

submitter is currently working (machine was rebooted 5 minutes ago)

as soon as it stops working again i'll run the submitter from the shell and see what i get...

run from cmd... no error!! but no window either (there is a process running in task manager)

I think the easiest is to check it via a remote session.
Please use www.RoyalRender.de/support to open a ticket, then I can send you instructions for a remote session.
