Hi,
A lot of our job are not totally done when it switches to 'Not rendering' (and not 'Finished').
Actually, he used to have one frame missing at the end of each job.
The client are not stalled, and the other jobs are launch in render, but there will be again one frame missing or more.
Performing a 'Check' will relaunch the missing frame in render.

We use RR 6.02.04 with Softimage 2013 and sitoa-2.5.0-2013.
RR server under linux and clients under Windows 7.

It not appends when we submit nuke jobs.

We have about 30 to 90 min render time by job, so it is a bit annoying to finnish the night jobs during the day... Sad

Hi

Before you hit the check button, was is displayed as 'done' in rrControl.

If there is e.g. a 100 frame sequence displayed as 99+1, then 1 frame was aborted/crashed and still locked by the fileserver.
The latest rrServer has a workaround for the locked files.

regards,

I haven't check this, I know that the job was in "Not Rendering" state, approved, and there were a lot client to render it.

And I can't check at this moment, because of the amount of submission, we don't keep all the finished job.
I will look at this as soon as I have the same issue.

We will switch for a newer version of rrServer as soon as possible, right now it is a little hot in the farm... Smile

thanks

Johann

Hi,
Here we can see only one client is still rendering, but some frames are not render yet.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I sent you a debug info ( 130215_09_debugInfo_Circus ) via www.royalrender.de/upload.php.

There are no placeholder files left, so that can not be the issue.
I will check the debug info.

You can also select the job and the cleint and use the debug menu item "show server send decision".
You can CTRL-C the message to post it.
