Hey Holger,

I just switched to Maya 2010 64bit from Maya 2008.
I have a simple setup of a PT Loader on a cube with a BA volume shader.
When I try to render the volume I get this error:

// Warning: (Mayatomr.Scene) : pCube1 : is a non-volume object but is a member of a volume only shading group. Object ignored. //

Any idea how to make it work?

Thanks a million!

Hi

It is a new maya issue.
You have to apply a transparent shader to the surface material.
Also a new maya issue.. ahem ... feature: You cannot use a lambert as this shader does not produce full transparent shadows any more.
So you have to use the surfaceShader and make it transparent.

The easiest way would be if you drag'n'drop the BA_CreateCloud.mel into your maya icon bar.
