Hi...

I'm a Max user and yesterday i downloaded BA_DOF mental ray Shader Plugin from www.maxplugins.de

The plugin is great! it works perfect... BUT... there's a problem...

I made some renders and everything ok... then, i opened a scene i have and some weird behaviour appeared... i could find and recreate the situation that causes the problem... lets see...

If i make a simple scene with some objects and an Omni light... everything goes as expected...


Then... i put a Skylight and again, everything goes ok... with most lights, BA_DOF works perfect...


BUT... then i use a mr Skylight (mental ray Skylight) and this problem appears...


... I also tested Li Liu's al_Dof_lens_plus mental ray shader plugin and had the exact same problem...

I don't know what's the problem but it would be great if it can be solved... oh, i use 3ds Max version 9.

I think there was a bug fix for this behavior in version 22.3, but I think it is only available as XSI addon at the moment...

Theres a trick to this, it is a bug but theres a work around.
Use the sky instead of mr_sky, use the mr_physical sky that should be in the enviroment panel, select it in sky and it should be ready to roll.

I'm trying to use shaders v 22.04.
Lens BA_DOF shader, just render transparent objects.
Any idea what I need to do ?

In which application do you use the shader collection (Maya, XSI, Max and which version?)
