Hi, I'm still trying to decide whether to purchase BA Volume shaders, and I have a question.

Would BA Volume shaders be useful to get some kind of reasonable flowing water simulation out of XSI, perhaps along with emFluid particles, if anyone is familiar with that.

I'm not talking about Realflow level here, but something like water flowing into a container, or pouring out through holes, or swirling, etc, something on that level. XSI can almost get there, but too blobby -- jello maybe...

thanks for any information,
NJ

With the shaders you will get a better rendering from your particle simulation, but the basic simulation is the same.
If the problem of the blobbyness is that there are not enough particles and you see each particle as a blob, then the shader would not help.

In comparison to the XSI particle blob shader you get more control for shading (full reflections, full transparency with IOR and possibility to use incidence, texturing for bump...)
