This applies to the BA_VolumeCloud shaders. It's unknown as to whether this also affects the shader pack.

We're experiencing a situation where if the BA_VolumeCloud addon is installed heterogenously between User and Workgroup locations across a group of nodes, those nodes with with the addons installed to User will not successfully render a scene with BA_VolumeCloud shaders in it. When checking the logs, we see the usual "Loading the sources failed..." along with what I presume are SPDL codes.

Note that we have now changed the install path to be Workgroup-only across all nodes, and this solves the problem. However, it still seems peculiar that the addon is affected by the install location.

It should not be a problem if you install the addon in a user location.
One thing you have to consider is that if you install it per user, then you have to install it for every user, which logs into the system.
