Hi,

In Softimage and Redshift 1.2.x, it's possible to render multi-layer exr's by giving multiple AOV's the same output name, ie "[Pass]" without the [Framebuffer] tag. It works through the GUI and through xsibatch, but not through Royal Render, the extra channels are simply missing. Do you know if there's some piece of code that prevents this during submission in RR?

Cheers!

Hi

I assume it is an issue in the render script.
Please disable Local Render Out for the job.
Does it work now?

I guess RR could use a check for this sort of thing in the future, looks like we can't provide a single name for multiple AOVs otherwise. I think Arnold have something similar, so you might already have solved it for Arnold, in that case it should be the same for Redshift I imagine.

Yes, the function that sets the output for Arnold has to be called for Redshift as well.
I have already logged it as bug and it will probably already be fixed for the next release.
