Hi,

So as usual these things happen just as we are in a rush to finish a job...!!

Our rrServer started crashing every once in a while this noon, with this error:

Code:
04.10 14:17.26| CRF Critical Failure - No Error.  Address:58b7b4 Flags:0;;   () rrServer console L 7.0.b12+6.2 []

Resulting in some jobs being removed from the job list and others that we had deleted returning to the list.
Interestingly, the jobs that rrServer removes are actually still rendering on the clients.
It seems to result in this type of error showing up in the sever log too:

Code:
04.10 14:26.18| WRN - Unknown job 15A_RRVC at client Rdroid1:0 - Status: 12

I have tried restarting the rrServer service, which didn't help, and rebooting the rrServer machine to no avail.
I replaced jobs.db with the z_day version. Interestingly it did the same thing, and even brought back around 200 jobs I had deleted from the list.

I'm thinking of trying to just delete the jobs.db completely (which I assume makes rrServer generate a fresh one) and seeing what happens.

Any ideas as to what may be the cause?
Is it ok to try removing jobs.db completely (there's only one job needing renders at the moment so we can do that without any issues for us)

thanks for any insight,

Jean-Louis

There was a memory issue which was fixed in RR 7.0.00, please update.

On a memory error, the server will loose jobs that have been send in the last 30 min.

Ok thanks Holger!

By the way - while waiting I tried removing the jobs.db completely (which seems to have sorted the problem out for now - I will upgrade later...)
The strange thing is that there doesn't seem to be a new jobs.db created in RR/sub/cfg_global/
Is that normal? Did I do something I shouldn't have....

The jobs.db will be created every half hour and on shutdown of the rrServer.
